Paulinzella Monastery Ponds

The Paulinzella Monastery Ponds are historic ponds that were already managed in the 14th century by the monks of the nearby Paulinzella Monastery. Today, they offer the perfect place for anglers and visitors seeking relaxation.

On the premises, you can find fresh and smoked fish of the highest quality, including rainbow trout, salmon trout, char, eels, catfish, and sturgeon. Those interested can rent fishing equipment, and night fishing is also possible by prior arrangement, including pitches for mobile homes.

After extensive renovations, the ponds are now open to the public again – both for fishing and for relaxation.
